Yachting Veteran, Tech Entrepreneur Form Yacht Information Services Company

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA (USA), May 29, 2008 – Imagine a service that solves a major problem in mega yacht ownership and operation -- information and compliance management.

Tom Patterson and Alan Ritchie have teamed up to develop Yacht Record, an on-board and online information services service for yachts. They have assembled a team with broad and deep experience in yacht building, software development, healthcare and automotive industries to bring best practices to the yachting industry. Furthermore, their success with previous companies brings the financial strength needed to support this great service. They will introduce their unique system to the industry at the American Superyacht Forum in Newport, Rhode Island on June 24.

Yacht Record organizes yacht information - manuals, logs, inventory, photos, drawings, schematics, etc. - into a user friendly system that can be accessed from anywhere via the Internet. “All your yacht’s information in one place,” said Founder and CEO Patterson. “Safe, secure and accessible, it is as simple as that.”

“We are fortunate to have such a strong management team including our Co-founder and Managing Director, Dr. Kirstin Tong,” said Yacht Record President Alan Ritchie. “She brings best practices from the automotive industry and she will head up our European operations next year when she returns to her native country, Germany,” he added.
